They fit!
I have a wide calf- 18", and I wanted a pair of dressy boots that were waterproof. They fit the bill perfectly. When I went into the shoe maker to get taps, he complimented them. He said they were very well made. I wear them with skirts to work and when I go out. I walk for long distances when I wear them into the city. They are extremely comfortable.
BOOT FOR PLUS-SIZE CALF
If you have true-to-size feet and ankles but thicker calves, this would be the boot for you. I wore them for 12 hours with thin tights and they were comfortable. If you want to wear a thick sock, they might be a snug fit. The zipper is very well done and goes as far down as possible on the shaft. They are not knee high but fit well past my calf. The pictures were not very helpful, so I have added four taken on a blue background for contrast.Blondo Women's Dublin Boot
Beautiful style and good quality boot.
I wear a size 11 and have very large calves (19") on long legs (33" inseam). The Blondo boot is the only non-stretch knee high boot to ever zip comfortably around my calves. The style is classic, timeless really. The advantage that the Dublin boot has is a clean line. The shape of the ankle and curve of the shaft are flattering. The fit is truly perfect for a plus size calf without a baggy ankle. The leather is good quality. It is smooth and supple. The only element that did not work for me was the heel cup. The heel was tight enough that I was concerned about being able to wear them for a work day. Except for the heel cup, every element about this boot was appealing to the eye.
